A few notes on this:

• The United States government was originally (and perhaps properly) designed to be elected by patrician landowners
• This system made sense despite the clear discrimination because landowners considered themselves a part of their people (white Anglo-Saxon Protestants)
• For various ulterior motives, the idea of a united American people was gradually undermined
• In the postwar period Jewish hegemony became dominant in the US, and the elites have lost almost all connection to the average American person. They do not identify as American (either explicitly or otherwise). Witness the results.
