Actually that can be an excuse, or at least explanation. There's no justification, but you can explain it. Just like any other sort of abuse often ends up with the abused becoming the abuser, if you're raped or molested as a kid, pre-puberty, not only will that fuck you up in the normal abuse cycles, but it also fucks up your sexuality because you were too young for any sex, much less nonconsensual homosexual sex.

It's absolutely understandable why so many of them turn out really fucked up.
