Yeah, sorry about that. I didn't fully read that response before I posted this. I was typing up a response in other thread that basically boils down to this: The parts about choosing the family over his fetish and loving himself the way she loves him make sense from a safety perspective. I just don't think the same logic applies to her saying she supports anybody but him trooning out. It's as likely to enrage him as it is to appease him. It's pretty neutral from a safety standpoint, which is why I think she means it. There's also the part where she emphasizes that she's straight, which wouldn't be relevant if she didn't believe in gender ideology.

It's the most delicate way to set some boundaries without incriminating herself as a TERF, which, sadly, carries great physical, legal, and financial risk these days. If she lies and goes along with her mentally ill husband's delusions until she can free the family from him, then she risks her son being traumatized by the sight of dad walking around dressed like a hooker and calling himself Princess Sparkles. If she goes full TERF and it doesn't immediately lead to physical harm, then it will be used against her in court custody battles, plus will probably be used to turn her desperately needed support network against her. Having one small child and another on the way doesn't give her many options here.
