The pope claims to stand between man and god. He is a false idol. The catholic governing structure is built by man, not God. The claims of papal authority are not derived from the bible, but from the lust of men for power.
Your false idol was literally selling "pre-forgiveness tickets" called indulgences, which was one of Luther's many complaints about your corrupt clownshow.
The english king was a degenerate simply trying to fight back against the globalist extranational subversion operation you call a church, but the actual cause of protestantism is correct.
All papal authority is claimed to be divine. They claim authority to bless and forgive sin, and claim divine message and authority, and anoint saints, when Jesus was the last messenger of god to come until the end. The existing Catholic structure is no more directly Christian than the Mohammedans.
