I mean, it's already happening, at least in the court of public opinion.
The killer is the real victim, but also a hero, and dead white boys is a good thing. It's really bringing out the worst elements of a seemingly quite large portion of the "black community." Meanwhile, the dad of slain basically agrees that the killer is the real victim. And the main black advocacy group that's backing him is led by an abuser who apparently shook a baby until its eyes bled, among other heinous acts.
Everything about this case is disgusting, and bringing out or bringing to light the worst in everyone.
And I guarantee when the video comes out it will show that he is guilty as sin. For me to believe it was self defense he would have to be covered in scars and bruises.
Yeah. I'm willing to acknowledge we don't know the full story, and it does sound like Austin probably got physical first - very lightly by the sounds of it, but still - but all witness accounts still paint Karmelo in the wrong, in a big way. And his 'thug life' pictures and general psychotic attitude aren't doing him any favors. He picked a fight, and he wanted to hurt or kill someone, in that moment when he did.
He was where he shouldn't have been, he was belligerent, he threatened people, and then he followed through on it. None of that is self defense. His defenders don't care in the slightest, and many are acting like he's some hero for civil rights.
I’m sure Austin was bullying him, that’s not the point.
How many of us were bullied in high school or actually got into fist fights and then pulled out a knife and stabbed the bully in the chest (not the leg, hand, stomach- in the heart)
Sure I dreamed of it - but wouldn’t actually do it because that’s LETHAL FORCE.
Saw that. I truly hope he gets the appropriate punishment but I fear he will be treated with kid gloves
