Iwata voluntarily halved his salary in 2011 and 2014 as apologies for the poor sales while other members of the Nintendo board of directors had pay cuts of 20–30 percent. This also served to ensure the job security of Nintendo's employees, preventing workers from being laid off.
And now Sakurai turned out to be based and he was the guy won an award because he make a collection of Youtube tutorials on how to make and sell games... FOR FREE....!!!!
Whereas the guy who made TLOU2 is a woke fucker who abused his workers and was a tyrant and dictator according to the people who worked under him.

That's fair, though most of Ninty's legal shenanigans that are complained about happens here in the states, and I don't think you'll find many people willing to defend Nintendo of America (which feels very different from NoJ)
The palworld lawsuit is entirely on terrible japanese patent law.
True, though I did say "most" for a reason. Their patent law is pretty rotten and the Palworld stuff is slimy. That's the only legal action I've heard from their Japanese branch in decades though.
I'd say it's more these two factors with the first being MOST important for good devs:
How much FINANCIAL control they have over their studio.
How much they PLAY their own game.
Guys like Gabe aren't beholden to anyone so he can do anything he wants within the law. Same is true for Nintendo. But Naughty Dog is the bitch boy of Sony so of course that trickles down to everyone beneath the publisher treating those beneath THEM awfully to feel in control.
