Great post. Simply put, while I understand why smaller nations like these may want to not be apart of a larger Soviet Union like in the past (can't blame them), you have to understand that you are bordering one of the most powerful countries on Earth, and your main military supporter of your alliance is across an ocean and currently has mixed feelings on defending you. You don't need to buddy-up with Russia, but you definitely do not need to be poking the bear or calling for war.
