Broken clock and all but he is right about this to an extent.
I think it's more an indication that they nepotisically kept hiring people ideologically the same as them and all these 'improvements' are just their vain attempts to justify their jobs.
When it can be replaced with one guy going 'that's stupid, just keep the door handles'. We have WAY too many 'busy work' jobs when we have a need to get a lot of labour outside of cities and utilised elsewhere, especially in America.
It's not even (or just) that we're packed too closely together, it's that the total number of people we encounter is far more than our brains are fit for. Dunbar's Number and all.
People are already starting to go back to Cable/Satellite TV because the prices of streaming keep going up while the services get shittier.
My mother still has Comcast and the apps now run on the box. Not only that the search functions will list them as options. My brother and I have Amazon, Netflix, & Tubi logged in so most of the time she's able to watch what she wants. Unless its on the shitty network apps like Peacock or Paramount+. Seriously fuck those.
FYI Tubi and Pluto TV are free.
I have an Android TV that runs several of the apps directly on the TV. YouTube, Rumble, Tubi, & Pluto TV paired with a TV antenna take care of a lot of viewing options.

The ads while also increasing prices are not helping streaming either.
Yes, I'm so damn tired of the ads. Later this year I'll just pay for Rumble's one year membership to support that service.
For everything else I'm now looking into building a pi-hole for my Android TV and our tablets.
The truth of the matter is the NFL is a private organization and isn't bound to be shown on public channels.
Good to know the complete enshittification of everything isn't technically illegal. Thanks for your input.
