I will note that some of the Leftist protestors pointed out that the party is funded by corporate interests that may be burning down neighborhoods in places like Maui. Broken clock.
But like you said, that aint gonna change shit. I know Megyn Kelly was talking about how she still has one "Woke" friend who lives in LA and lost her house in the fires. And for the first few days after the fire she was actually talking about how Karen Bass and Gavin Newsom were responsible and maybe it was time for a change. And literally within days, that friend was already back to "I mean, what can they have done? Do you really expect me to vote for Republicans instead?"
Maybe it is just the optimist in me, but I do think this still results in them losing more power, to the point I have not insignificant odds we actually do well in 2026 (as in, hold or small expand in the House, expand in the Senate). But I also fear that while we have gotten past the worst odds of something like a full scale collapse, we are entering a heighted era of the Left going full Days of Rage as they feel that their only recourse is "destroy everything." Especially as Trump starts tearing the Feds to shreds to get rid of the dug in Deep State types.
The left seem to have moved away from generalized civil war (2020), to directed terrorism. I don't think it will be as bad as The Days of Rage, but I think we might see the occasional shooting or beating of a Trump supporter. But even those attacks are fewer than they used to be.
I would be nervous about their "destroy everything as we leave", but we're already doing that to their institutions, so I don't know that it would mean anything to either of us.
Probably the only saving grace is that leftists now are just so much gayer then the 60's and 70's. The actual capability to do violence is reduced when you have limp wrists.

It's not about gayness as much as it is about worshiping weakness.
But you repeat yourself
