Baldur's Gate 3 and Cyberpunk 2077 both proved that normies will eat up degenerate corposlop if the packaging is shiny enough.
The first Kingdom Come was a solid game through and through. If all they did was copy-paste and improve some of the gameplay and pacing for the sequel, then it's likely normies will eat it up and run to defend the game's woke elements like they have with BG3 and Cyberpunk 2077.
The only way the poison pill doesn't go down is if the gameplay is straight bollocks... and even then, people forgave Cyberpunk 2077's release because of an anime.
I don't think you remember how many people HATED the combat system in KCD. Sure they are dumbing it down for KCD 2 but I think it may be too tough to understand still, but probably they will simply make it into a journo-mode flail the mouse around to win.
The only thing now to hope for is that this poison pill is so great that people will not swallow.
