Sam is one of the few influencers I totally respect because he has a preternatural will to challenge pretension and conformity. He comes off more as disgusted with our culture than as a contrarian.
Most influencers, even in the based hard right, are surfing trends, farming engagement, networking, and fluffing their own personal image. They're more beneficial than not, but it's still annoying. Elijah Schaefer has more skeletons in his closet than Nosferatu. Eva Vlardingblsdkjfl is super hot but you should never trust a girl who posts glamour photos of herself.
Sam seems to oppose that world as a matter of constitution. He's definitely too smart for it.
I liked his content before all that weird shit and his meltdown. Haven't checked in recently, but last time I did he seemed unhinged and unwell. He got a raw deal, and it seemed to break him for a while. He also got increasingly desperate and shilling when it came to monetization, after he got screwed, so it was less enjoyable to listen to on that front too.
What are the skeletons? I don't know too much about him personally.
The alcoholism allegations are mostly from the Blaze separation. Although that also involves the sexual assault lawsuit from Sydney Watson (pbuh), it tracks with his behavior. Dude has had erratic moments on Twitter.
The cheating and gay accusations come from Christian Walker, The Quartering, and Blaire White.
I misremembered on the Zionist thing - he has been noticing for a while so I'll chalk that up to confusion with another influencer.
There's a small chance he's innocent of everything, but his response indicates guilt. He refuses to defend himself and wants everything swept under the rug (which he's accomplished for the moment). Also I'm not really joking about the wife and kids comment, anyone who's that ostentatious about their family on public social media has a few screws loose.
He also had a really embarrassing drunk stream with Nick Rekieta either when he was still with The Blaze but after Watson left or shortly after he got yeeted too.
This was back when Rekieta was respectable and before the whole cocaine & wifeswapping arc.
I can't remember any specifics, but Schaeffer was a very effeminate and offputting messy drunk.
Not recently, it was a while back. As such, I don't remember all the specifics, but he essentially got fired, from The Blaze as I recall. There was all sorts of drama going on, and he really got the raw end of the deal, lost his show, lost advertisers, and stuff. Really broke his mental, and he came back seemingly a totally different person.
Also, he had a show with Sydney Watson which also, predictably, fell apart. Somehow that crazy drama factory always manages to land on her feet, though. If I was a right wing content creator, I wouldn't go within a mile of Watson.

He’s got some contrarian tendencies though. Dudes always sucking the fun out of something with like an Occam’s razor sort of explanation whenever you least expect it

I think Sam is ultimately a bit of a degenerate who often finds himself wondering how he came to be the least degenerate person in the room.
This is a very good assessment.
I recognize the symptoms; I have the same sickness.

Cheating, alcoholism, Zionism, sexual assault, homosexuality, posting dumbass reels of his wife and baby
Huh, that's a lot. Was that recent, or in his past? Because I knew he had issues with drugs, which was allegedly behind him.
Was the sexual assault thing the stupid allegations? That seemed pretty sketchy, and there wasn't evidence.
What's with the cheating and homosexuality? And the Zionism thing is surprising, wasn't he doing some rather extreme noticing?
