The vast majority of people who voted for Trump did so primarily because they want to stop mass immigration, legal or illegal. Elon and Vivek have both now declared their intentions to increase legal immigration. This is a complete betrayal and a disqualifying stance. Describing the resultant rift within the MAGA movement as the fault of anyone other than Elon and Vivek, or as anything less than a irreconcilable disagreement on first principles, is a snake and a traitor. This is not something you ignore or sweep under the rug. This is open warfare for the soul of modern populism. The paper Americans have stated their goals, and surprise surprise - it is more great replacement. We cannot abide this.
After doing my homework on this, Elon supports increased scrutiny for H1B abuse. He's not for unchecked mass migration, just brain draining. The disconnect isn't that he wants to mass import, but that he trusts the government now with Trump in charge, and the rest of us don't because the systems are always abused, and he doesn't understand how badly they are abused already.
