I really don't want to make these types of posts a quarterly tradition on this board, but the same exact issues as the last post I made on this subject have reared their shit-stained head once again.
Pedo Pajeet is posting snuff material again which, just like last time, is remaining up, and DoM keeps insisting on playing the part of a black father with how little he truly interact with the rest of us, all while promises of additional mod hands and moderation reforms have gone unfulfilled.
As I type this, the snuff has been up for 37 minutes. Any one of us (ie. the very people DoM doesn't want as mods, regardless of junior position) would take it down the minute it went up, if only we had the power to do so.
If he does hire more mods, they will leave Pedo Pajeets posts up while diligently banning anyone who says the word "jew".
Yeah, people keep falling for the obvious trap.
There is no solution; we tolerate the current situation, or get fed up enough to leave. Those are the two options.
Dom won't step down. And, if Dom does get more mods, it will be at his choosing, and he's already said he doesn't trust any old timers here, who would be the optimal choice. Dom "hiring" more mods would just make things worse. We've seen the story over and over on Reddit, for example.
Again, as someone who has been extremely critical of both his modding and lack of modding, demanding more mods is not the answer (because he might do that), nor is asking him to step down (because he won't do that.) Again, sadly, the options are tolerate, or leave. I don't like it either, but that's how it is.
We try to bug C or someone else at scored.co to add a new type of moderator role to the backend. One that can only delete posts from handshake accounts. This isn't technically very complicated and limits the possibility for abuse.
We don't really need full-on mods. We just need a couple of jannies who can take care of the one issue.
And yes, it might need to be more specific than handshakes because you can age your sockpuppets. Min number of posts or something else works too, but you get the idea: a way to deal with spam while minimizing the chance of turning into Reddit.
Tried to ask about it repeatedly, they don't care. It's an effort problem as far as they're concerned, that's the takeaway I got.
I would literally just lurk New and yeet-the-jeet any time it became obvious he was trying to post again. IDGAF about the mod queue and whatever reports might be getting made elsewhere.
