The first season offered a reasonably good execution on a brilliant premise, but there were times that it threatened to fall apart. Most famously and notably, the late season introduction of the “elites” was so poorly written that it almost destroyed the show. I have my doubts that the second run will hold it together.
The whole scene with the girls compound where they murder the shit out of each other after the slightest inconvenience to their 'perfect' feminist utopia was pure gold that would never, ever, get filmed in the west.
Girl brings injured boy to the lighthouse all the girls are set up in, one of the girls tries to poison his food, kills a different girl, descends into a bloodbath

Squid game wasn't really anything unique or special. There are tons of Japanese shows that have the concept of "if you lose a game you die".
Squid Game was copied from a Japanese movie about high school kids. The movie was all right, not the best.
Sir that movie was great.

Don't remember that scene.
I found it on youtube here, about ten minutes long.

I liked Squid Game back when it was called Battle Royale.
