It's not subjective. It's ostensibly inoffensive to prog cultists. And the only way to stop being filtered out by normal consumers is just to stop putting weird degeneracy in every game.
i mean, objecively, there is no need for tags. if a game released in $current_year has somewhat human characters vaguely involved in gameplay, has a "diverse" cast and no cute and gratuitously sexy chick in the promo material - its likely to be woke and can be reasonably written off.
though I can think of a few examples breaking this rule, its probably 98% correct. thats good enough in my book.
its not indicator of a good game, mind you- steam is full of tittyslop. but its a game not made by people who hate you, want you dead, and your kids raped and/or sterilised.
Doesn't surprise me though. They've been flirting with wokeness for years, and only getting worse. Frankly, it's amazing they've kept a (relatively) good reputation for as long as they have, considering they keep sticking their foot in their mouth. I suppose that's what happens when you produce beloved/quality games for a while. People desperately want to love CDPR, but they'll be running out of goodwill soon.
I'm sure Raz0rfist is laughing his ass off though.
It's not going to stop even if every one of them bombs, because they want the ESG loans. For a lot of these companies (especially Ubisoft) that's the only thing propping them up these days.
Ubisoft in particular gets not just ESG loans from Blackrock, Vanguard and State Street for pushing this stuff but also $1bn per year from the French government for doing it.
In addition to all that, many of these larger media companies (Disney, for example) have the Federal Reserve buying their stock to keep the price high amongst constant flops in exchange for pushing the propaganda message. This keeps the shareholders for suing them for fiduciary negligence.
Oof. It's already got:
LGBTQ+
Political
Politics
Political Sim
Female Protagonist
Psychological Horror
And the top four are the top five (RPG is between Politics and Political Sim), so it's very prominent.
I hope we get a few more major woke bombs, and people realize this shit ain't worth it anymore.
I do love the simplicity of an LGBTQ+ tag.

I wish I had this on kids books and media. Half the library is how to trans yourself: a guide for 6 year olds.
Yeah it's hell out there, the only stuff I can reliably trust is kid safe without 100% pre-vetting it myself first is kids media from <2000s
I set Steam to hide any game with it.
Psychological horror is implied by LGBTQ+

Add Witcher 4 to the list...
