Luckily a movie theater by me is running the Miyazaki movies over the year, we just watched this one which is why I posted it. Seeing howls moving castle, Mononoke, and nausicaa in theaters has been a treat
Seeing them in theaters uncut was a treat. It was smart by my local movie theater to put them out on slow nights. They did the same with the LOTR trilogy
I have a great 75 inch QLED tv I got on an awesome discount, but it’s something else entirely to see it on full display at a local theater, the other upside is that the only people going to them are ones who treasured them. It’s a treat to spend only 12 bucks to see those works on the big screen. Especially when they do 2 dubbed and 2 subbed days. Howl and Mononoke on the big screens are only something I could wish for as a kid and finally getting that experience with an overpriced but local beer is very satisfying. I have no problem supporting local theaters when they do that and I have a free movie pass for being a veteran which is more than I could ever ask for.

Man, all those movies are so freaking good. Almost indescribably so.
Art.

I need to rewatch Howl
Mononoke was the first one I ever saw and was captivated. Howl was a close second because the artistry and story were superb
They're all on Max right now. They're absolutely amazing.
