why we need to use tax dollars to create a position
Who said anything about creating shit? White House Press Secretary is right there already, though maybe below his experience. It would just be nice to see someone listen to their stupid questions and then tear them a new one.
People either listen to him or not already. No one is suddenly going to sit there and take licks from him because he has that position. It's like some people see the next Trump administration as an opportunity to play "fantasy cabinet."
It's weird and vaguely cultish because it shows a total lack of memory of Trump's last administration. A brave idea to just repeat the past mistakes all over again.
Let me explain a bit for the autists in the house.
This isn't a fantasy cabinet thing. Press secretary isn't even a cabinet position. It's just a spokesman job. I don't even actually think Vivek would be particularly well suited for it. It's a step down.
What I said was in humor. The amusing part is the scenario where the White House correspondents would be forced as their job to interact, near-daily, with someone who hates their guts and would not be afraid to tell them so. And that situation is amusing because the journalists deserve it.
Do you understand the comment now or do you need me to make more of the context explicit?
This is such a thing our side does. We are getting super involved about government spending and taxation over a joke. While the other side is paying tik tok users to come to the White House and campaign
If he's in a governmental position the press will be forced to listen to him, more or less. The nation will hear him slapping journos around all fucking day if he's Trump's press secretary.
He has a bigger bully pulpit as a government official.
It's a nice idea, but, no.. they lie for a living. They'll just keep doing that.

The powers that be really want there to be a completely divisive bubble culture to exist. This will actually just play into that. He's entirely loathed by the other side. He completely lacks the type of cross culture appeal that someone like RFK brings.
He has a bigger bully pulpit as a government official.
No offense, because I get this, but I hate this idea completely. The government should not have this pulpit. No government agent should be in a position to fuck with their own citizens even if I don't personally agree with their agenda.
Enforce laws not ideals otherwise you always lose.
Seems like he's doing fine as a private citizen.
I'm not sure why we need to use tax dollars to create a position to do what is already being done.
