Are Leftists worse with "Russia!" than boomer Christians were with "Satan!"? I'm leaning towards a firm 'yes,' because the average person seems to be more seriously convinced of Russia being an imminent threat than the devil.
Not really. Satan can be defeated with a simple "get thee behind me, Satan". A couple mean words sends him scurrying, like a raccoon or a skunk, or other scavenging rodent. He might be good at his job, but he too is simultaneously a master evil manipulator and powerhouse, but easily thwarted with minimal effort (just have faith).
When God is omni-potent, His opposition will always be... limited, and thus infinitely smaller and weaker.
Satan is easily defeated by God, but humans struggle against him until they call on God because Satan manipulates people he doesn't just shows up and gives you the opportunity to yell at him immediately.

At least Satan is consistent, dude is always evil and always good at his job.
Russia is always evil, a failed state, and running successful psyops all over the world to these morons.
