That's obviously the most....'generous' interpretation of it's history given the source provided.
And it pulled up red flags in my head alone by the part saying patrons put stickers over their smartphone cameras. So got some other source that could go from on what they are TRULY up to?
Edit: right posted this BEFORE the comment by OP, yeah I now understand where MOST our STDs are made..
I'm just REALLY glad I didn't hear 'children' in ANY of that. Although I have a sick feeling they're just in a backroom for 'VIPs'....
Yeah, if you read the link in my other comment there, it is… A lot. It goes into quite extensive detail of one guy’s experiences in there, and there is some more (politicized) discussion in the comments on the blog post…
Frankly, it sounds like literal torture. Which, given the BDSM theme, is probably the actual idea…
Though in that guy’s case, his companions literally took his phone off him, so it gets even worse than the sticker bit, lol…
Australia’s largest nightclub (Home, in Sydney) also used to (temporarily) take away your phone at the door, but to my knowledge they haven’t done that in decades, and it also doesn’t have the reputation for… Degeneracy that this one does, obviously.
I’ve been to a couple of “gay/fetish clubs” before, with women. They enjoyed it well enough, but I hated it the entire time, lol. So I can’t imagine I would be able to tolerate this one at all…
I'm a bloody abstinence advocate by just thinking of doing a threesome with two (born as and 'unmodified') women by their standards..
I do a policy lifestyle wise of no drugs and never really got the interest to try alcohol, rather try different kinds of food from an hygienically clean establishment. All I see from this using drugs to dilute the moral and guilt functions of the their 'patrons' so they're so far down the degenerate slippery slope, they have a sunken cost of thinking there's no way back to being moral.
Interesting point there - I kind of wonder how that fits into general nihilism and broader just not really giving a shit.
Because I can say from anecdotal experience that after I was diagnosed with a chronic illness, and subsequently got some money saved up, I essentially went on a partying bender for a few months…
Not so much drugs (never really been a fan, either) outside of tobacco products, but heavy drinking, gambling, partying all night, lots of casual sex, etc. And obviously the financial cost that came with that (which I am still paying off!)…
Because I just… Didn’t give a shit, for a while there. Nothing “long term” felt like it really mattered.
Not quite the same, obviously, but I wonder how it fits into the slippery slope thing that you speak of.
My liver (and credit score) thanks me that benders like that were only temporary adventures, at the very least…
It's a HUGE factor, they want you uncaring, nihilistic only gaining 'feeling' from primitive base urges as you're easier to control then. Just look at these degenerates voting patterns..
I was fortunate for having a REALLY strong figure in my grandfather and completely healthy barring eyes and even that's extremely minor. They want to get your hooks on you when you're at your lowest, drag you down the slopes of excess into a hole you can't climb out of. You got LUCKY in going 'wtf am I doing?' and stopped your decent to climb out.
Neitzche warned about absence of religion making this kinda shit easier to do and the past century has shown this.
YOU can't have antibiotics because of the fear of superbugs. They have free license to breed superbugs because the suggestion that maybe keep it in their pants for an hour a day is homophobic.

That is not that strange in some clubs here in Germany.
On one hand it's nice, cause you're there to party and not to make a movie. I had situations (in other clubs) where people were filming the whole set of a dj without doing anything else. That kind of ruins the vibe. Same as retards who have their flash on while filming. That annoys everyone.
Then there's a sense of privacy. Pacha Munich is one of the clubs that I've been to last year who have such a rule. But you occasionally get a well known person there, who obviously also want to just party. Think: Bayern München players.
On the other hand it's a way to sound "cool" and "prestigeous" for the club. Cause "Well known clubs like Berghain do that, so if we do it we are at the same level". Similar shit like intentionally blocking entrance for everyone for 10min so the line in front of the club seems longer.
Personally I just remove the sticker after entering and check the vibe within the club. Pacha you had occasionally some people who filmed for a short moment, so the overall rule there is more like "Hey, don't overdo it, okay? And if you do - you were warned so don't act surprised if you get kicked out" .

I did consider going to an Anyma/Tales of Us event near me. But all of their events look like this in recordings - 70% of the crowd has their phone out and films constantly. No thanks.
