As per the title, are there any content creators or websites you can think of that do what used to make sites like GameSpot or IGN great?
I'm talking about gaming (or general pop culture) news, reviews, previews, history features/top 10 lists, etc. free of any blatant wokeness or unwarranted politics.
Politics are important, but it's healthy to have other things to focus on too so that we can support empowering things that are reminiscent of the values and ideas we're trying so hard to conserve.
Therefore, feel free to name your favorite personalities and outlets below so that their audiences can grow and we can build up a better alternative to the woke, Marxist mess that is the current pop culture landscape.
Let's prove that great art doesn't have to be defined by DEI, Marxism, or focus groups.
regarding reviews, just pick a good let's play channel... better than any review honestly. You can actually see how the game plays in real time.

Only reason I say let's plays is it can sometimes give a better feel for the gameplay, depending on the quality of the player.
Yeah the only use they really have now is letting you know about new games. Just getting some gameplay is better than any review or editorial really.
The only gaming YouTubers I follow are Synthetic Man, Razorfist, Worth a Buy, 21 Kiloton, and White light
Honestly? Youtube hobbyists are your best bet, you want to see stuff just look at streaming from people who you don't find cringe. As much as I mock Asmongold for being a massive normie for example he's pretty red pilled on the state of the games industry and he's spreading influence about that with some hilarious takes.
I think the whole gaming news site format is largely dead, with my own work for example I calculated the costs and you quickly realise that owning a site in this day and age is a major burden unless you've got some kind of loyal following the hosting costs just eat into everything because you get charged for that even when you're not making money.
with a few niche exceptions, I feel like video game reviewing has become largely obsolete. the Lets Play crowd does a much better job of showcasing the good and the bad of a game in a way that gives you a feel for the quality of the game.
Heck, even if you're avoiding spoilers, you can watch only part of a let's play, and see the user's reactions in real time, then switch off before the plot gets going too far, especially if you watch reviews from multiple let's players...
With the more popular streamers who have that audience they usually clip everything anyway so you can see any relevant points pretty quickly.

There are none. All of the old guard have been corrupted, and Google and Facebook are killing off all of those kinds of websites with their algorithm changes anyway. We will be seeing a post here about Kotaku itself going under very soon.
