Yes, and also no. If I were Ukrainian, I wouldn't want to fight and die for Ukraine. Heck, I wouldn't fight and die for my own government. I love my nation, but "my" government is a joke. I'm not going to hate on people for fleeing from their own tyrants. I'd rather they stood up and fought them, but fleeing is still a better option than fighting for them.
In Ukraine's case, I'd agree. Refusing to fight for the revolutionary government that overthrew a president you may very well have voted for in 2010 is not cowardice, it's refusal to commit treason against yourself.

If you and your family can flee - then flee.
The government doesn't care if you die - cause they & all their families are never found at the front.
