the Quran explicitly states that the Bible is true and correct. the last dinner is part of Muslim cannon.
But it doesn’t talk about putting your faith in Christ or that Jesus is the way to salvation. I know they believe he will return if I remember correctly
They try to co-opt Christianity by giving Jesus a role of honor and gutting Christianity of all its values and theology, while recognizing all the prophets that came before, and preventing some other religion from doing the same by declaring Muhammad to be 'the seal of the prophets'.
I won't pretend to have anything more than a cursory view of Islam but they deny the divinity of Jesus Christ. As a Christian you know our shared Christian faith is based on the divinity of Jesus Christ. No amount of Muslims mentioning Jesus as a prophet or honoring Mary will unite us in Faith.
True
What about Unitarians like Newton?
Honestly, the subject of the exact nature of the divinity of Jesus is probably just about the oldest schism (or perhaps heresy, considering the side of the schism who believed in his total divinity came to completely dominate the discussion going forward). But you’ll find this was a common thread among these earliest of schisms/“heresies”:

And many others, continuing throughout history:

And even to this day in some major sects/splinters:

Yeah there were Arians but their views are denied by most Christian religions. I'll acquiesce that most of mainstream Christian faiths are dependent on the divinity of Jesus Christ
Actually, it says the exact opposite - it says that the Bible is corrupted.

the Quran explicitly confirms the previous scriptures which includes the Bible and the Torah. it's actually one of the fundamental flaws in Islam, because the Quran contradicts the Bible, calls itself the truth, and calls the previous scriptures the truth. this is logically impossible.
Maybe I'm mistaken but doesn't the Quran have a different version of Abraham? I believe I've heard Abram's story in the Quran is more robust and different than the Torah version.
...which is why they claim the Bible has been corrupted, and that only the Koran is the perfect revelation... in fact, the Koran is eternal and uncreated in orthodox Muslim belief.
I wish it were true, but you haven't discovered a fatal flaw in Islam after 14 centuries - though the fatal flaws that it has certainly haven't prevented it from metastasizing.
it wasn't my discovery per se, I took it from a debate about Islam that I watched.
that being said, religious people tend to not be very good scholars of their own religion. I'm sure I'm not the first person to appointed this out throughout history. I also know a lot of Muslims repeat this line that the Bible has been corrupted, but I am so far unaware of any passage in the Quran that says so.
Corrupted by whom?
