They quite literally are. They've stopped reviewing blockbusters and their main review show routinely goes over streaming horror shovelware. The burnout isn't hidden at all.
I find it really comforting. It means it's not just me.
99% of Blockbusters in the past five or six years or more are total garbage, and we all know why. I get the feeling RLM also knows why, but they also aren't allowed to say it because of the side they've chosen. There probably isn't enough money in doing fake positive review shilling, and they probably burned too many bridges for any of the big companies to be willing to pay them anyways, so there's really no other choice. Don't review them at all. They still have to run a channel though, because they've wasted too many years of their lives doing this to pivot to a real job now, so that only leaves shovelware left.
Nah, there's no desperation. The three of them make a decent living off of patreon. They're uber-normies. They might suspect something is wrong, but they'll never know what. They're just going to consoom themselves into a child-less retirement.
Agree with pretty much everything else you said, but Best of The Worst is literally the most hilarious thing they've ever done besides Plinkett.
It was a lot funnier 7 or 8 years ago. The ones from the last few years just feel like they're bored and exhausted.

Well humor is subjective, but that's a really low bar isn't it?
One might say it's the best of the worst...
