How has anyone that runs these companies not realized it's just racketeering with extra steps.
A group of people come up to you and tell you everything you're doing is wrong. They shame everything you do. A group of people definitely not connected to them hound everything you say and do until you give the group money and jobs.
So you give in. You compromise. You pay them to make it stop. And suddenly it does. Almost like they were working together to get in to a place that would otherwise not let them in with their zero skillset outside of being manipulators.
Now there are so many of them, in every part of the company. The cancer has spread all through the company and you've got no choice but to continue going, because the original audience that was happy with what you're making doesn't want this.
So you talk to the money guys and they tell you that the previous audience is just not there anymore. And that the fabled new audience that loves whatever this new thing is, is nowhere to be found.
And this multi layered grift keeps working because they tell you it does and you keep listening because they've wormed their way into your head.
Wake up and change it before you don't have a say in anything that goes on in your company anymore, while you've still got a company.
The people who run these companies are in on the grift. There's a huge conflict on interest just beneath the surface of almost everything we talk about. Hell, GG started in response to a conflict of interest.
Pretty much. Speaking of that new "modern audience" they keep mentioning every time, some have already figured that it doesn't need to exist. That's not the point. It has to be created, and when enough people belong to said audience and nobody remembers how things used to be, it will come into existence.
At least the protection rackets used to just leave you alone if you paid. The DEI racket makes you change what you sell. It's not enough to just pay them, you have to kneel as well.
I don't even know what DEI means for this companies, every large IT company I worked with are like 80% Indian but diversity always translates in to less white men.
Well in some cases, as Kirsche mentions in that stream I linked, they use a faulty study in order to "convince" them their revenue is gonna go up.
Simple recipe really, create study, be the one that discusses it giving it credence, use it as genuine evidence. You'd think they work at Bethesda because "it just works" for some reason.
I know about the bogus study, is that they are not even applying that study. There are so many Indians in tech, there is no diversity. Sure in middle management in California you will see a bunch of women, mostly white but once you leave that bubble they are mostly Indians.
My previous job, huge IT company, had a graph at one point that would show where they were opening position, shockingly it was almost exclusively in India and a bit in Eastern Europe.
Even now, I'm working at a non-It company and boy are there a lot of Indians, yesterday a guy working on a presentation for IT support so that people know whom to ask when they need help had 1 guy in US, something like 3 guys in Europe and 20 something in India.
Every project I have ongoing with IT companies is just mostly Indians. There is some random European but that is about it, even the ones located in Europe are either Indian or some northern African with maybe a couple of exceptions.
There is no Diversity in DIE, there is just a reason to shit on white guys.
They'll actually confirm this themselves, smugly of course. I don't remember what the company or project I read/watched something about but they were celebrating that their diversity rating increased because the number of whites decreased or just became smaller than that of the newer employees.
You know what it's all about really? It's about cheap labour
Having already done that by moving a lot of production from the US and EU to China and others... some might have figured that bringing said labor closer and not dealing with shipping might be more profitable. Add to that planned obsolescence and your printing money. Although some are getting paid better but maybe it all evens out.

Black Panther still is praised for being diverse, also the NBA is considered among the most diverse.
They are not hiding it.
