It's weird timing, him saying he "might" step down (which is politics for will step down), him saying he has Covid and is "sick" so publicly.
He's very likely getting out, and his handlers know this. The timing might be done to (try to) overshadow Trump's speech. What would be more overshadowing than him dying suddenly?
