I'm just seeing if anyone has context for why tourism is causing problems in Spain? It seems the protesters are targeting white people.

No idea but if I was to guess, they don't like tourists. No one likes tourists. Maybe they have to many of them in some areas.
However, since they are far-left they can use that to virtue signal on how they hate "white" tourists, hating only white people is "inclusive' and "morally superior".
Spain's economy is in the shitter. They don't get to be picky with who they get their money from.

To be fair I don't know if it's exclusive to white people but from the footage I saw of people getting sprayed with water guns were all white
