Ok, fine, but you must admit it looks suss, he absolutely looks like he's not grieving. And if you're going to hold AJ guilty for it, every single Australian in the 80s with the Dingo-baby case is guilty of the same thing.
It does look suspicious but why not suspect that one guy being the kind of asshole who is enjoying the publicity and attention and is sociopathicly indifferent to how he's getting it. It seems like a shorter step.
There's certainly a lot of precedent for parents going, "I'm so sad he's gone. Anyway, here's my GoFundMe."
