If you're like me, it's depressing to wake up and realize the greatest of months, pride month is now over. I feel a wave of depression coming over me that even banning people in my subreddits/Discord servers doesn't seem to fix.
At least pride month can forever live in our hearts
This pride month was pretty tame. They know how insufferable it is to normal people and they don't want to risk alienating them in an election year with such a poor candidate.
Yeah, I honestly wouldn't know. I check out from news pretty much anymore. Even here, I'll see only major things cause for the sake of my own mental health, I try not to read too much or I get black-pilled/despairing, or I'll hear about things from Anthony Cumia's show, but that's about it.
Some people can handle more depressing, enraging crap. I've got to limit it. I don't check out or bury my head in the sand; but I'll depress myself into complete despondent non-productivity if I see EVERYTHING that's going on at all times in this craziness.
That's the point of pushing everyone's face into this sort of thing. Rainbow flags being everywhere is done for the same reason as swastikas were put everywhere in the Third Reich.
Seems you and I share the exact same modus operandi when it comes to intaking too much of this stuff. I skim the basics but basically try to stay out of consuming too much news because it really can wreck your perception of things if you get too into the weeds.
you gotta find a healthy balance between dwelling on it and checking out completely...
...otherwise, you'll miss gems like the presidential debate...holy cow, what a shit show...even CNN was admitting biden fumbled that one...
I watched that. Razorfist reacted to it. That's like with the Anthony Cumia thing. If there's someone who can bring some personality to it that takes the edge off, I can sit through it. I am kept up on things by listening to Anthony Cumias show because his takes are hilarious and spot-on most of the time. His filtering of it through his funny personality takes away a lot of that rage I would feel if I just read the headlines and articles myself.
Likewise I saw the Trump Biden debate because Razorfist streamed it.
I'm not completely checked out, but when I was on The Donald going through article after article, headline after headline, I became despondent every time.
And for what? I wasn't fixing the world doing that, I was only harming myself.
fair enough, lol
honestly, I was just making sure man. I'm glad you have some idea what's going on
sidenote: speaking of the the debate, I have a theory on biden's "you said hitler had some good ideas" comment...
At some point in previous elections, biden probably expected to debate bernie sanders, and I'm pretty sure bernie did say that Stalin had some good ideas. I'm wondering if that was a talking point he prepped for bernie, and between his broken brain, the drugs wearing off, the extreme stress and the fact that, let's face it, biden lies as naturally as a fish swims, he didn't transpose that argument onto trump with hitler.
If it was contained to just a day, 99% people would just roll their eyes and move on. Just like "juneteef" and all the other bullshit divisive days they've seen fit to push on everyone. But a whole month? FFS leftists, learn some fucking boundaries.
they can't, it's a holy crusade.
...and they don't care about gays, or muslims, or black people, they just push that shit to sow division...
Which brings up the riots four years ago that much harder.
