When I had heard about Chris Gore's "leaking" of episode 3, I had thought he was saying "The Force is being made tangible- in the form of a woman." No, it wasn't that. But what they did is basically spit on established Lucas lore. Anakin is no longer a Christ-like miracle child, these lesbian witches were giving birth through Force Conception at will a hundred years before.
The idea Anakin was born from the force was always pretty dumb from the beginning. Plus there's no indication in the show that Palpatine isn't just making that up to entice Anakin. They never actually show this 'power.'
I don't disagree. But the fact still remains, they took an established "miracle child" point from something 1000x better made and made it worthless.
And the Darth Plageus theories just get more confusing. In Revenge of the Sith, I thought he was talking "restoring and elongating life" rather than creating it. And as you say, that whole spiel could have been just a seductive lie. Then there was a comic insinuating that Anakin's birth was directly attributed to Palpatine or Plageus. That much I ABSOLUTELY say is stupid bullshit.
To be extra cynical about that, though… She wouldn’t be the first woman in history to claim that as an easy hand wave (in order to avoid tricky questions), lol…
Do I think Lucas probably meant it sincerely? Sure. But in the real world, women do say that sort of thing not uncommonly…
You don't have to have a doctorate in media literacy to follow "Anakin's mother says he has no father" > "Palpatine casually tells him a story about a guy who could create life".
Plus there's no indication in the show that Palpatine isn't just making that up to entice Anakin. They never actually show this 'power.'
Well, aside from his mother saying in Episode One that there was no father. I don’t think the intention was for the viewer to assume she was lying about a one night stand or something.
“Actually, I don’t care, it’s all shit” is a bad thing to say after it’s been pointed out your knowledge is incorrect. It makes it look like you’re sulking, and certainly no one should trust your evaluation when it’s based on at least one piece of faulty knowledge.
And although James Luceno is/ was a great SW writer, I thought “Darth Plagueis” was pretty bad for its own retcons and making the “Anakin is Jesus” a real thing.

The prequels are garbage. Maybe not woke trash but trash is still trash.
Yes, however, I'll say that trash > woke trash.
Anakin's mother is the one who said that there was no father.

Nothing in the depiction of the character supports her doing anything but telling the truth about this.
Women have been pulling that trick for thousands of years.
A self destructive child of a single mom? Never seen that before.
I think he was referring to the Darth Plageus life manipulation story.

I don't really care, I don't even consider the prequels Canon. It's all shit.

I never liked it (and I liked Eps II & III).
