I feel like with all these stories, it's easy to get desensitized. "Oh, it happened again." Or, with all the identity politics shoved down our throats, some people even go with "Hahaha, funny because [women], or [gay], or [cop], or [whatever] was the victim of other group."
Neither is the correct take. This should once again serve as a reminder to just what has been done to us in the West (and elsewhere; it's spreading fast), and what they've taken from us. In this London example, big cities often aren't the safest, but this shit is still above and beyond. You should be able to go to the beach without getting murdered by foreigners.
Again, it's easy to roll your eyes and say "another one," it totally is. We see this shit way too often. We don't know the victims. It has no impact on our lives. But, we live in a society (bottom text), so we're all victims of society, culture, and civilization being victimized like this.
Even if I don't know the victim, this is saddening and rage inducing. This shouldn't be happening.
I laugh because it's the only thing I can do. Nobody is going to do shit to stop it, and even if a few people do things that would break rule 2 to mention, it's not enough to stop it
Looking through it I'm reminded why I don't bother reading news stories. This is a terrible article that could have been written by a robot. I'm sure part of it is obfuscation of the obvious, but is this how crime reporting is typically done in the UK? Fill the majority of your word count requirement with random quotes copied from the courtroom transcript that nobody cares about, and then at the very end throw in a couple notes about what actually happened. Do they have editors at Sky?

We're all fucked.
Nasen Saadi, a traditional English name.

Editors? In the traditional sense, no. They have Narrators. And not in that traditional sense, either.
