Cronyism and nepotism happens everywhere but now it gets to fly under the banner of diversity, equality (Or equity depending on the nugget you listen to) and inclusion.
It's just jobs for the boys all over. It's just the boys are anything but the stereotype of what they used to be.
I can guarantee you when this finally gets noted and repair attempts will be made it will be a lot harder to shift these 'people' from their positions of power than it was to give them a chance in the first place.
It's a recursive spiral and it only goes down.
It will change eventually, but within any of our lifetimes?
That's not to say that it doesn't come with its own equal flaws either.
Hopefully A.I. takes up the H.R. roles and we get a better shift into people capable of doing jobs rather than whoever fits the flavour of the day as that would probably be a better representation of society and any needs it has to better spread ability throughout it.
