I work in a position surrounded by women, and most of them get very excited at the idea of doing "games" or creating "fun themed events" and all of that shit. I avoid participating as much as possible because it's all very juvenile and sterile. It just made me think that all of HR, the "creating a fun atmosphere," the forced "fun" activities that leadership thinks will "boost morale," etc, is really just the dying breaths of a suppressed maternal instinct. Whether or not they have children, it doesn't matter, as the fact that they are working instead of spending all of their time with their children unconsciously breaks them. Women have infantilized the workplace and demand a corporate environment that replicates the mother-child relationship dynamic simply because they have no other outlet for their maternal instinct. It's sad and pathetic.

I think it is just girl culture from high school moving in HR. They used to do banners and set up events that were meaningless but got a ton of praise for it.
They keep getting praises, mostly between themselves but it is enough for them to get a high dose of dopamine. It also feeds in to their main character syndrome.
Not just that, thanks to HR, women have been not separating motherhood from workplace and have applied the same behaviour to the work environment.
That and the banning of dating within the workplace as that used to help a large percentage of long term relationships to establish themselves.
I ban myself from dating within the workplace, whether it's officially against the rules or not. It's a bad idea, and anyone with a real career should avoid it like the plague. Don't shit where you eat. That piece of ass isn't worth losing your job over.
Maybe don't treat dating like shitting?
I would never fuck a coworker, but I'd date one, in public.
If they want to get married, they quit. Simple as.
Good luck with that. It isn't getting married that's an issue. It's what happens when the relationship goes bad and then you are stuck working with a spurned ex who has motivation to go scorched earth on your career. If you date your coworkers, you are an idiot. It isn't worth the risk, ever.
And I can't believe I have to explain this, but "don't shit where you eat" isn't actually about literally taking a shit. It's an idiom that refers to how it is a bad idea to invite trouble to a place you regularly find yourself, like your place of work.
