You can cut a lot of throats if you have to. It makes a huge mess, though. The guillotine is among other things cleaner. But still it's a big installation for killing one dude. And you can get someone to clean up.
Waste of firewood. Guillotine is reusable, it’s CO2 neutral, and there’s 0 chance of being rescued once you pull the lever.
