Some karen/soy reviewer pulled the same stunt against GTA5 when it first came out. Docked points simply because it didn't have a female protagonist or was "full of misogyny" (ie not constantly putting pussy on a pedestal)
Journalists aren't botting anything. They don't know how to code, and they don't make enough money to pay someone that does.
Normally I'd agree with you but we've all seen how these guys operate. It's not even about how much money they make necessarily, it's about who they know. So yes they may well not have anything like the expertise or money needed, but they possibly know somebody who knows somebody and that's how they have so much influence.
