Yes you have people who call everything woke but it is a consequence of the companies constantly talking about representation and diversity. With lgbt stuff I used to not mind a gay character here and there but now I dont watch anything with that included although to be fair I tend to not watch anything past 2014. If I see a modern day movie with a black or female lead I wonder if it has some racial or gender related message.
Also tired of ignoring the key demographics because activists writers hate the fanbase or don’t even like the source material. Most people are not lgbt so why not market to that specific audience. If I lived in Nigeria I would find it odd if a large percentage of people in entertainment were Asian or white. I personally think there is a hyper obsession with diversity that ruins entertainment. Also like I said I’m not listening to black ppl younger than me talk about race.
I never claimed I was alive at that time and you shouldn’t listen to me if I tried to lecture you. I’m in no place to talk. As I told you what my mother told me. I definitely listened to the experiences of my parents/grand parents/great grands and still find it odd that I have cousins in their 20s with a massive chip on their shoulder my parents or grandparents didn’t have. I personally am color blind in the sense that I don’t judge individuals by their race. I’m aware of demographics data but still shouldn’t judge the individual. How I was raised. You love the name calling then have at it.
Enjoy fighting those on this forum who despise blacks, Jews, gays, etc. I’ve done that enough. I’d rather post about nerd stuff
No one calls Stellar Blade woke, while it has one of the most badass woman in modern gaming (the game's not even out yet, but the bar is so low it's not hard at all). In fact, the woke-crowd is the one trying to get this game cancelled, while the anti-woke crowd is like "Please port to PC too".
What is woke is not having one random black guy or a woman, it's having the exact same black guy stereotype (with that haircut), or the man-jaw "strong and independent" woman. Or it's having people of a completely difference place in a setting where they don't belong at all, and without any explanation. (like having black European medieval knights or black Japanese samurai)
Don’t forget over representation of certain populations. Or ignoring the audience. I’m a life long comic book collector and for whatever reason women are just not interested but apparently they need to be catered to nonstop. I love period pieces normally but now they feel the need to be diverse and it takes you out of the show. If I was watching a mini series about an ancient African kingdom I would find it odd to see a bunch of white people in the show. Same with the other way around

Unless your game is about sodomizing children, there's no reason (aside from political) to include a gay person.
There's no reason to specify a sexual preference at all.
