I'm not really surprised at all. And they all probably are based in Washington DC and engaged in child trafficking. I think most glowie are evil but Washington DC glowies are worse. Those boomers at insurrection had stood zero chance at getting fair trials.
I used to work with people like that. They claimed to be "fiscally conservative" moderates but were always saying things like "we need to support sensible moderate Republicans like <INSERT CORRUPT RINO WHO BACKED ANTI-2A LEGISLATION>". Everything is "muh bipartisanship" with them. Bipartisan only means helping the Left.
The conversation I had today was absolutely bonkers. My colleague explained how he wanted power within the government structure to be bottom-up(ie, local government holds the reigns to keep federal in check). I then proceed to explain how his advocacy for centralized federal systems accomplishes the exact opposite of that by placing more power in the hands of the federal government ensuring a top-down structure. He agreed that his policies would indeed do that...and then proceeded to argue for them anyway.
His attempt to weasel out was some platitudes about how we just need more local governments to tell the federal government to go fuck itself(in this case state senators was the example used).

Even the conservatives in this town are progressives.

It's truly infuriating.

These people are truly beyond salvation.
