Looking forward to when the pendulum swings even further into insanity and these procedures are suddenly decided to be problematic once it becomes apparent to all the grifters there's money to be made in suing for the very thing previously asked for.

That would be a swing towards sanity. These procedures are problematic because a doctor is supposed to have a system of ethics that would prevent them from harming their patient to satisfy a madman's fantasies. It's up there with abortion, trans surgeries and non-reconstructive plastic surgery as things that should be impossible simply because no doctor worthy of the title is willing to be complicit in the act.
