JFC this. Even the Switch has a far more compelling library than the PS5. It’s telling that the just-released Persona 3 remake is ALSO available on the PS4. And if Sony is moving to latter life strategies when the system is just over 3 years old then, yeah, it’s bomb.
I had to double check that release date. It is indeed just over three years ago, even less for some countries. The PS4 has sold over 100 million units compared to the PS5's 50 million. The PS5 will close the gap a little, but it's peak sales are behind it already. Eat shit, Soyny.
For me, the PS5's (as well as Xbox Series X's) most compelling titles are multiplatform games, specifically Armored Core VI, Tales of Arise, Tekken 8, and Elden Ring; along with a few others.
I think the best current titles are otherwise generally available on the Switch. What they all have in common for me as that they seem to be free from woke propaganda, are at least good at being apolitical, and focus on great gameplay and storytelling.
With regards to first party exclusives, I share your guys' sentiments that Sony and Microsoft have mostly failed to win me over this generation.
