Santos was a piece of crap, but the people voted for him. He was never convicted and, as mentioned elsewhere in this thread, plenty of his scumbaggery wasn't criminal anyway. Most of Congress are criminals too, so what's the point? My issue isn't whether or not Santos was a good guy, it's the process used to remove him, and over what "crimes."
He never should have been voted in in the first place, in my opinion. But, once he's there...the people have spoken. That's how representation works. Removing him as they did is a slap in the face of everyone who voted for him...and anyone who wants a workable system in general.
Also, are we applying this evenly (of course we aren't)? Because Biden is now even more of a blatant corrupt piece of shit than we knew back in 2020. If we're removing people from voted positions due to allegations...we gotta have a special election for a new president.
I hate like 90% of the GOP. Which is like 10% less than I did a while back, so in that sense it's a massive improvement...but I still hate those slimy fucks.

Don't forget Bob Menendez. He's been indicted over shit that's above and beyond standard politician criminality and they haven't done a thing to remove him because Manchin only rubber stamps the pedos they're packing the courts with 95% of the time. The GOP is fucking itself on that case as well by wringing its hands about "due process" when they didn't even extend that benefit to one of their own and could never expect reciprocal treatment from the Dems.
They just stole Santos' seat. The DNC fraudsters won't make the same mistake they made in 2022. it's going to be a bloodbath. But hey, just vote harder. I'm sure it doing the exact same thing we did 6 times will will result in a different outcome the 7th time we try it.
That implies that the GOP cares that they "lost" Santos' seat. They voluntarily ousted the guy over allegations of things that aren't even necessarily crimes. I don't think lying about being Jewish is on the criminal code anywhere.
They want to be able to throw up their hands and say, "boy golly gee, you can't hold us responsible for anything because Democrats have all the power. But give us money and we'll fight the good fight for you!"

Yup. He'd actually deserve it, too. He engaged in massive conflicts of interest and dereliction of duty. Even more so than most of the critters.
The GOP still can’t grasp the most basic rule in politics: friend vs foe identification.

You're not wrong. The GOP's refusal to do anything about the fraud problem is the flipside to the Democrats' industrial scale cheating.
Is there much that can be done? Democrat judges toss out fraud cases like crazy and it’s become a biohazard to mention election fraud as a politician
The GOP cheats at elections too. They've used it against MAGA candidates for 3 consecutive national elections.
The GOP cheats in GOP-controlled areas and Democrats cheat in Democrat-controlled areas.
Jewish is a religion though, why do some people think you can change gender overnight but not religious views?
Because they know it’s not a religion. It’s an ethnicity. No one thinks Ivanka Trump is Jewish. No one thinks Woody Allen isn’t.
More importantly it’s a tribe. A tribe that is privileged (unlike white people who actually have to work for what they have.)
The fact that a goy used trickery to pretend to be Jew to get an advantage is unacceptable to them.
Once you realize that the US is an occupied country things make a whole lot more sense.
the ny gop is largely vestigial, like california's.
