The people (such as myself) who were in college when Jon Stewart was at his peak in the early 00s have now been out in the world for 20-ish years. Now that his acolytes have had the chance to re-make the world in their image, would Stewart conclude the world of today is more sane or less sane than it was 20 years ago when they had zero political power?
Yeah, "when my guy gets in and you're upset about it and complain, you're insane, but we'll pretend to be magnanimous in victory by calling you insane. But when your guy gets in and we start burning down cities over it ... we're justified because you and your guy are still insane."
