Public political commentary serves a necessary function: people who make political decisions have to know about political issues, which in a democracy means people have to be free to tell the general public about political issues without the establishment having a veto.
The right to free speech does not require a justification or utilitarian argument. It' a foundational principle. You have the right to communicate how you want, even if someone else classifies your speech as pornographic or political.
If you willingly rationalize free speech, next you'll have to rationalize your right to self defense, and your right to property and on and on, and ultimately you'll find yourself on the wrong end of Hume's Guillotine.
Free political discourse is necessary, a class of paid professional
grifterscommentators isn't. As far as morality goes, I think it's fair to say that Jack Posobiec and Jenna Jameson are on the same level.
