Microsoft has literally no first party or exclusive games anyone cares about. The only one that ever mattered was Rare Replay, which is just a collection of emulated games with a fancy UI.
The only things that have kept them afloat this long is the nearly full backwards compatibility and Gamepass. The first they can't capitalize on without reprinting ancient games, which isn't really that profitable or viable, and the second is entirely a rental streaming service.
I know everyone is worried about the "own nothing" future, and its valid to be so, but there is literally no reason for Xbox to have a physical games division any longer. They have no value and literally no game you might want to physically own on an Xbox isn't better on PC to begin with.
They lost the "console wars" and have mostly transitioned into a "smart home" device with the Xbox already. And almost none of the use anyone gets out of their Xbox involves a physical game except maybe some bros with their annual CoD.
The games console was always a transitional phase. It was a low price-point, dumbed down box with low specs to educate console tards on how to play games.
PCs were, and always have been the biggest market for games. Admittedly, it has been more profitable to charge a massive stupidity tax to sell games to mouth-breathing console tards. Console games have consistently cost a lot more than PC games, and they maintain their price for much longer, as they continue to stay relevant due to fixed hardware generations.
I guess that it has been a major advantage that console tards buy their games again with every generation of consoles? That must be nice for developers?
Now that console tards no longer burst into tears at the sight of a keyboard and mouse, they might find the strength of character to plug a controller into their PC. Selling a console as a loss leader to keep a tarded, captive market is no longer viable. It won't be viable for the PS6 either.
The big difference between Playstation and X-Box is that Microsoft has some kind of plan for the inevitable convergence of the hardware systems.

What do you mean "lost the console wars"?
