Why is that curious? "Diverse" simply means "not white".
Yea, I’ve seen that. They get very defensive when you ask them to explain how that is diverse. Now for the writing room if I had people from different walks of life like some veterans, college students, some who grew up wealthy, poor, etc that would be better.
Well they'd never be ok with hiring someone who isn't a leftist who went to an Ivy or elite liberal arts college.
That’s true. Precisely why I rarely read or watch modern stuff. If you’ve seen one woke story, you’ve seen them all. The woman will be flawless and lectures about race and sex abound as well as the usual over represented lgbt groups. Very interesting to look at the life experience of sci-fi writers from the golden age or Tolkien. Now we have gender study weirdos who see everything through a lens of race/sex
I totally agree. I think having actual life experience lets writers craft more compelling stories.
