I don't think secession is possible for now but certainly devolution of powers from the federal government should be in process.
Too many feds and glowey infiltrators inside the state to try to separate, get rid of them first and make yourself more independent so if you want to seperate you aren't fighting inside and out.

I don't think that is likely.
Secession wouldn't pass in even the Texas State Senate and it is definitely not going anywhere in the Texas State House.
I think Texas can still stay in the Union while protecting its sovereign right to enforce border security.
