It's Reddit, so what did you honestly expect? But, it's still somewhat disappointing to learn that yet another sub turned into an astroturfed censorship swamp.
The most innocuous comments are shadow-removed without you even knowing it. I saw some guy complain about AirBnB driving up the prices of real estate and comparing that to AI and the comment was gone after a refresh. Complain about Apple? And gone.
They do it for free.
The reason for that is allegedly power mods are getting paid now by companies to promote shit assuming it's a power mod in charge of that subreddit and they have been for some time. So when you start criticising a particular company or something they might be making money off they'll wipe you out without a word.
Reddit isn't even a proper place for discussion anymore even when it comes to niche topics. Frankly it's kind of amazing the leftists are still using it because they are going to get it come election season but they probably have a real addiction problem with it like twitter.
I know there have been paid commenters and power mods for a while.

Which is odd for such a campy old game
It’s not the subreddit of a game, it’s Ray Kurzweil’s futuristic cult.
Just use it to keep up-to-date, more or less, about new AI developments.
