When asking for I D at the bar, a waiter is simply looking at the date on a piece of plastic. They don't log your face, location, or anything else.
On the Internet, every ID verification pings a database of some sort, and that database will be programmed to log who asked for whose id, for what purpose, when, and where. These databases will be exposed to any government official that has sway, and we all know how good they are at abusing these systems.
I don't dispute anything you are saying and at the same time I really don't care.
The privacy of coomers is FAR down the list of important topics compared to protecting children from porn.
If you come up with a system that is as effective or more effective but doesn't have the same privacy concerns then I would support it. But until someone invents that an ID check is about the best have.
That's just it, it won't stop at the coomers. They will use social taboos to trojan-horse Digital ID.
It's already implemented for gun owners, and there is a push to implement it for coomers. Next it will be drinkers, then gamblers, then sports car drivers, then junk food eaters, then regular car drivers, then grocery buyers. Finally, everything will require an ID checkin. Why? not only is the data profitable, but they can control everything about your life so they can keep exploiting you.
Once it's got a foothold, it will never go away. Don't give digital ID an inch.
I repeat the question from the previous post. What is your plan to keep porn away from kids that also "protects privacy"?
If you don't have one and just crap on the ones other people make then you made it clear that exposing millions of kids to porn is less important to you than being slightly inconvenienced when you want to rub one out.
But even if ID for porn is implemented I can solve your "privacy" problem. Go buy a magazine with cash. I guarantee you the clerk will forget your face in about 20 seconds and any camera footage is wiped weekly if not daily, assuming the cameras work at all.
