a star on blue ain't that bad.
Yes there's a superficial similarity, but it's basic ground green, blue sky stuff. And blue for NE/USA state. There's not much wriggle room with that basic motif.
It's 200x better than that modern-art abomination duck motif, and better than a seal you can't read or distinguish from 20 other states.
I do think this one woulda looked much the same even without the somalian imports, it's a safe basic flag motif with a star which makes sense for where they are.
90% of basic flag designs for Minnesota are gunna look somewhat like this
There was nothing wrong with their flag, don't try to justify this nonsense.
If you think that "state seal on a blue flag" is a good flag, you have no idea what a good flag is.
Old flag was awful. Flag needs to be recognizable at a distance. Writing and detailed pictures are objective problems with a flag.
what's the purpose of a flag?
Whatever bullshit answer you're going to give, the flag didn't need to be changed. It's more recognizable than this generic shit that looks like every other flag redesign out there. It's so generic you can pretend it doesn't look exactly like thr Somalian flag.
Really? At a distance it's indistinguishable from half the states in the union's flags.
The state seal on a blue background is an objectively shit flag. If you disagree, I guarantee you have never made anything.
Bitch, it's been the flag since 1893 with slight revisions and they're only changing it because of "MuH NaTiVeS" this has nothing to do with appearances.
Ok, then they're right for the wrong reason. You can abandon truth for politics if you want, I'll keep telling it like it is.
