Interestingly, as Sowell points out, people mostly do stick to their own - and not even the characteristics that the very online types are obsessed with. Immigrant Italians are much more likely to marry Italians, and not just other Italians, but from the same region where they were from. I think this tends to break down as people live in their new country more generations in and their culture gets homogenized.

No, that has nothing to do with me specifically. But the homogenizaton of literally everything is something that I oppose. And I can't think of a worse world than where everyone is the exact same. Ironically advocated for by advocates of diversity.
