It’s really good. I’ve listened to it like 30 times already

I always thought that the Beatles were rather dull and overhyped, even compared to other artists of the same generation, like Dick Dale and his song Misirlou. It's nice that the Beatles seemingly inspired better rock artists to pick up the mantle after them, but otherwise, I am completely indifferent to them.
Dick Dale's music was used for the soundtrack of one of my favorite unknown gems: Rocket Jockey. That game was ahead of its time.
Oh, he's great. I wasn't there at the time, so I might be talking out of my ass, but I get the impression that Surf Rock was a fringe genre back then. Something enjoyed by only a very small portion of the people, likely for being too loud and thrilling, while the Beatles were just the mainstream, boring and dull shite that was just extreme enough that people who wanted to appear respectable could openly enjoy. They were far from the best artists of their time, but they made soft rock more acceptable, which led to more people following in their footsteps with music that was actually good. That's the impression I get, anyhow.
Dick Dale was amazing, and still played incredible music all the way until he died in 2019. Songs that were way ahead of their time, and better than the majority of the new music that comes out today. I find it bewildering that the Beatles were more successful than him.
Years of hearing covers have proven to me that the Beatles worst quality is the fact that decent music and lyrics are being forced out of the mouths of whiny British boys.
Yep. Amazing lyrics like:
Or the classic:
And who could ever forget:
And Danny Elfman singing this on Oingo Boingo's last album is actually a decent track, well above the Beatles' own version. Doesn't need to be deep, just enough to bop your head.
Personally I was thinking of their less bland songs like Eleanor Rigby or Maxwell's Silver Hammer when I said the lyrics were decent. Their mainstream shit is complete garbage that only works if you are a hippy stoned out of your mind.
