Yesterday, after work, I went to the store to take just the flu shot, told the person injecting me to give me an extra bandage, which was branded with the logo of the store, put that bandage on in the bathroom, and went home.
Mom asked me where I went, I told her I took the shots, showed her the bandages, she asked if I had my card, I said I did but she never asked for it, and then I went on with my day.
I’m still waiting to see if the shoe drops and she asks to see my card within the next few days, but if that happens, I’ve taken all of you guys’ advice into account, but so far I’m good.
I did it this way mainly because my appointment time, but Mom wasn’t mad or anything that I went without her, last night was just a bit hectic, but hopefully it’s over for now. I’m still looking for places to move, as I definitely don’t wanna deal with this again, but damn, I didn’t know that lower income housing had waiting lists.
I'm sorry. Canada is the canary in the economic social coalmine. I have been reading on prices and inflation and its so sad. Young Canadians are basically never going to own a home or anything as inflation goes crazy. What is your long term outlook living there?
Basically, my mom owns a house worth $1.5m without a mortgage on it in one of the nicest areas in Canada so my long-term plan is to inherit her house. Realistically, I think she's going to live a long time and well into my retirement so my real plan is to save as much money as I can and then retire in Southeast Asia.
I think Canada is one of the worst countries in the entire world to live in, especially if you're a white man. Stay the fuck away. This country is shit.
Fellow Canuk here, 100% correct.
The problem is that all of our men are working rurally, either farming or resource extraction, so the cities are filled with feminised homunculi and Boomers who have no problem swallowing the "Diversity is our greatest strength" line.
Since cities make up 80% of our population, our politics reflect this.
Watch your mom sells the house to the Chinese when you finally move to se Asia
Ya I think you are in a fairly similar situation to most Canadians and a lot of Americans. Inheritance is the only way to own anything and who knows when they keep raising property taxes etc. I'm sure soon enough they will start reposessing property to give to Indians as well.
This is the future of the US as well
they are going to hit us with massive deflation next. Once everyone has enough debt from trying to pay the high prices on everything the cost of everything will drop, wages will drop, and all the debt will remain. You won't be able to sell anything to raise funds for the debt because prices will be so low.
